Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz, who was born within Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town in which she grew up. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. She is the younger sister of Uria as well as two half siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved her along with their children to Mendocino County California when Ryder turned seven. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder became an avid read because they had no television. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. In 1986 she landed her first big-screen role in the movie Lucas when she was just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied in her high school. She hoped that the acting profession would end the way she dealt with bullying. However, that didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her goal. She got her break through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful parts in a variety of films. In 1993, he was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
