Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson

Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe to Olden Wilson, a ironworker and Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy was the eldest of six kids. Nancy was influenced by her father's music taste and the records that were played in her family home. By the age of four, Nancy knew that she would like to become a musician. She developed her musical talent through singing in choirs at church. In her early teens and had a chance to win a talent show on TV and was able to regularly appear on the Skyline Melodies Tv Show while being in High School. It was at that time that she began to work in night clubs at that at the same time. Nancy was just 17 when she finished high school. After attending Ohio Central State College - today Central State University - for one semester, Nancy left to be an experienced performer. In 1956 she made her first album with Rusty's Carolyn Club Big Band. They performed together from 1956 through 1958. Nancy recorded her first record with Dot Records while in the group. Cannonball Aderley suggested that she move into New York so as to improve her career. In 1959 Nancy made the move into The Big Town. Within a short time, she was singing in The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road near The Bronx. The representative of Adderley saw her singing and instantly agreed to sign her. In 1960, he enlisted her to Capitol Records and in that same year she issued her first single. Guess Who? Capitol issued five Nancy Wilson records in just two years. The first was focused on R&B however, under Adderley's influence, she started to take on jazz. Nancy Wilson's collaboration in 1962 in 1962 with Cannonball Adderley propelled her to the top of the charts, and in 1963, she had her first hit Tell Me the Truth. Her first job was in New York's Coconut Grove nightclub, America's most prestigious club.

Maisie Richardson Sellers is an actor working in television as well as films. She was the main character of Chloe Winthrop, in Netflix's film The Kissing Booth.
