Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman of business. She is the current president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and was raised as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur with a real estate business who later became owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Her parents divorced in 1972. split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally left out. When she was 19 years old she joined the family business as the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She held the position of the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss and her five sisters took over the Lakers majority ownership following the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Every sister was given the same voice. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion headquartered at Los Angeles.
